Terms and Conditions for Lee’s Guitar Works - Guitar Setup Services (UK)
1. Scope of Services:
a. Lee’s Guitar Works provides guitar setup services, including but not limited to: set-ups, fretwork and electronic work to guitars and instruments.
b. The services are in the main executed by Lee Gosling, a qualified technician to improve the playability and performance of the instrument.
c. Services which go beyond Lee Gosling's field of expertise may be subcontracted to other qualified luthiers and guitar technicians. This will always be notified to the customer prior to work being completed.
2. Booking and Payment:
a. Customers are required to book services through contacting Lee’s Guitar Works directly via the designated contact channels listed on this site.
b. A list of work to be carried out will be communicated by Lee Gosling and will be confirmed in writing by the customer prior to the commencement of any works carried out. An official worksheet will be provided after work has been completed, detailing the adjustments made in line with the original quotation.
c. Full payment is mandatory at the time of collecting your instrument after works have been completed.
d. All prices listed on this website or quoted directly are in GBP and are inclusive of VAT and all applicable taxes.
3. Refunds:
a. Upon collection of your instrument, inspecting works completed and making payment, Lee's Guitar Works carries a no-refund policy.
b. In the event that you are not satisfied with the works completed upon collection and inspection, the guitar will be returned to its former condition and no payment will be taken.
4. Warranty:
a. Lee’s Guitar Works provides a 90-day warranty on setup services.
b. The warranty covers adjustments performed during the initial setup. Any subsequent issues unrelated to the original service are not covered.
c. During the 90-day warranty period, customers are welcome to return the instrument to Lee's Guitar Works address as many times as necessary and Lee's Guitar Works will continue to make unlimited further adjustments within the original service supplied until the customer is satisfied that the instrument is playing as the customer requires.
5. Customer Responsibilities:
a. Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about their guitar and its condition.
b. Lee’s Guitar Works is not liable for pre-existing issues that remain after works completed which were not disclosed by the customer.
6. Turnaround Time:
a. Lee’s Guitar Works aims to complete setups within the agreed number of days as communicated with the customer before booking.
b. Unforeseen circumstances may affect turnaround time, and customers will be notified of any delays. Lee’s Guitar Works is not liable for any such delays.
7. Liability:
a. Lee’s Guitar Works is not responsible for any damage caused by improper handling or transportation of the instrument.
b. Customers are advised to inspect their guitars upon pickup and report any issues immediately.
8. Privacy:
a. Customer information is collected and used solely for the purpose of providing guitar setup services.
b. Lee’s Guitar Works adheres to privacy laws and regulations.
9. Governing Law:
a. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
b. Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with UK Arbitration Rules.
By booking our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Lee’s Guitar Works reserves the right to update or modify these terms, and customers will be notified of any changes.
